Your photo
Bring any image from your library and make the countdown yours.
What you get
Designed for every countdown that matters.
Pulled straight from the build. Every feature below is part of the version we are crafting right now.
Photo backgrounds, beautiful by default
Pick from a curated gallery (birthdays, weddings, concerts, graduations, trips, new years) or use any photo from your library. Every countdown becomes a piece of art.
Home & Lock Screen widgets
Pin any event to your Home Screen or Lock Screen. The countdown updates live, so the moment is always in view, even before you unlock.
Recurring made effortless
Daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or yearly. Birthdays and anniversaries reset themselves the moment they pass, so you never re-enter the same date twice.
Reminders with personality
Attach one or more reminders to any event, set a custom message, and let Await nudge you at the time, the day before, or anywhere in between.
Calendar import
Pull trips, weddings, and meetings straight from your iOS calendar. Convert any existing event into a countdown in two taps.
Auto time units
Months out, days out, hours out, minutes to go. Await picks the right unit automatically, or lock it to a unit you prefer.
Make it yours
List or grid. Regular, medium, large, or huge cards. Closest-first, furthest-first, newest, oldest, or manual order. Drag and drop to reorder.
Memory Box
When an event passes, slide it into Memory Box. The countdown becomes a keepsake you can look back on instead of a card you have to delete.
Speaks your language
Built with full localization from day one. Await follows your phone language and respects right-to-left scripts out of the box.
Light, Dark, System
A theme for the way you live. Switch any time, or let Await follow your iPhone automatically.
Private by design
Your events stay on your device. No required account, no servers reading your photos, no behavioural tracking of what you are waiting for.
Built for the long haul
Crafted with the modern iOS toolchain so it stays fast on your phone for years, not just on launch day.
Live from your Lock Screen
The countdown lives where you already look.
Stick any event to your Home Screen or Lock Screen and the days tick down without you opening anything. Glance, smile, go on with your day.
- Home Screen widgets · Small, medium, and large sizes for any layout.
- Lock Screen widgets · Inline, circular, or rectangular complications.
- Pin your headline event · Promote one countdown so it is always front and centre.
- Per-event styling · Pick the background and accent that suits each moment.

Why we are building this
The way you wait shapes how the moment feels when it arrives.
Waiting deserves design
Most countdown apps treat every event like a deadline. Await treats every event like a story you are about to step into.
Make it glanceable
The fastest interaction is the one you do not have to open. Widgets and Lock Screen support are non-negotiable.
Respect the moment, not the funnel
No streaks to game you. No notifications begging for attention. Await opens when you want it and disappears when you don't.
The road to launch
Building in the open.
A few honest milestones, refreshed as we go. Await is being crafted by LaunchRoom, the same studio behind MindRot.
Done
Core countdown engine
Date math, recurrence, all-day handling, and per-event time zones are wired up and covered by automated tests.
Done
Photo and gallery backgrounds
A bundled occasion gallery plus full support for any photo from your library, with brightness controls so text always pops.
In progress
Home & Lock Screen widgets
Native iOS widgets in every supported size. App Group plumbing and live refresh hooks are mid-flight.
In progress
Reminders, recurrence, calendar import
Local notifications, recurring rollover, and importing existing iOS Calendar events are being polished for launch.
Next
Memory Box & premium tier
Past events become a curated keepsake. Optional premium unlocks more layouts, widget styles, and unlimited backgrounds.
Next
TestFlight & App Store launch
Closed TestFlight first, then a worldwide App Store release. The launch invite will be announced on this page first.
Frequently asked
Everything we get asked about Await.
- Is Await available yet?
- Not yet. Await is in active development at LaunchRoom. We have not opened a launch mailing list yet — bookmark this page and the App Store link will land here first.
- Which platforms will Await support?
- Await is being built for iPhone running iOS 16 or later. The first release focuses on iOS so we can ship a polished experience with native Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
- Will Await have Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets?
- Yes. Widgets are a first-class part of the design. Pin any event to your Home Screen or Lock Screen and see the live countdown without opening the app.
- Can Await remind me before an event?
- Yes. Every event can carry one or more local reminders (at the time, five minutes, fifteen, thirty, sixty, or a day before). Reminders fire on-device, no server required.
- Can I create recurring countdowns?
- Yes. Pick from daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or yearly. Birthdays and anniversaries roll over automatically once the date passes.
- Can I import events from my calendar?
- Yes. Await can pull events from your iOS calendar so you can convert any meeting, trip, or appointment into a countdown in a couple of taps.
- Does Await collect my data?
- No. Await is built privacy-first. Your events live on your device. There is no required account, no analytics on your event content, and nothing is sold or shared.
- Will Await cost money?
- Await will be free to download with optional premium features for power users. Final pricing will be confirmed at launch.
