Welcome to Mindrot. Mindrot is a productivity application designed to help users manage their digital well-being by monitoring screen time, providing usage analytics, and allowing users to set boundaries on device usage.

1. RELATIONSHIP TO APPLE’S STANDARD EULA
By downloading Mindrot from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Mindrot only, and not with Apple Inc. However, your use of this App is also subject to the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, these Terms shall govern.
2. SCREEN TIME API & PRIVACY
Mindrot utilizes Apple’s Screen Time API (Family Controls) to provide core functionalities, such as blocking distracting apps and monitoring device usage.
- Authorization: To use these features, you must explicitly grant Mindrot permission to access your Screen Time data via the iOS system prompts. You may revoke these permissions at any time in your iOS Settings, though this will disable the App's primary functions.
- Data Privacy: In compliance with Apple’s privacy framework, Mindrot processes all usage data directly on-device. We do not have access to, nor do we collect, track, or transmit your browsing history, personal messages, or specific app content. We do not sell or share any data gathered via the Screen Time API with third parties.
3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING
Mindrot may offer "Premium" features via auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID Account at the confirmation of purchase.
- Free Trials: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable
- Automatic Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Account Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
- Management: You can manage or turn off auto-renew in your Apple ID Account Settings at any time after purchase.
- Refunds: All refund requests are processed by Apple Support. Mindrot cannot process refunds directly.
- Restore Purchases: If you reinstall Mindrot or change your iOS device, you can restore your previously purchased Premium subscription using the 'Restore Purchases' button within the App's settings or paywall.
- Consent to Share Consumption Data with Apple: By using Mindrot and making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing of data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple, as part of our efforts to resolve refund requests. This information may include details about how you have accessed and interacted with the purchased content. The purpose of sharing this data is to help Apple make an informed decision regarding refund requests. We ensure that such sharing is done in compliance with Apple’s policies and only as necessary to process your requests.
4. CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellation Process: You may cancel your subscription at any time. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must turn off the auto-renewal feature in your Apple ID Account Settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Access After Cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to all Premium features of Mindrot until the end of your current billing period. Once the period expires, your account will automatically revert to the free version.
- No Partial Refunds: We do not provide partial refunds or credits for any unused portion of a subscription period. All billing inquiries and refund requests must be directed to Apple Support, as we do not have the technical or legal ability to issue refunds on Apple's behalf.
5. ACCOUNT DELETION
We respect your right to privacy and data control. In compliance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), Mindrot provides a straightforward way for users to delete their accounts:
- Process: You may initiate permanent account deletion at any time directly within the "Settings" section of the App.
- Data Removal: Upon deletion, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently removed from our systems in a timely manner. This action is final and cannot be undone.

- Not a Medical Tool: Mindrot is a productivity tool. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure clinical addictions or mental health disorders.
